Hi, I’m Nolan. I began my training career in 2007 as a certified personal trainer while studying exercise science at Quincy College. I then transferred to Umass Boston and finished my degree while working in the private personal training industry. In 2019 I operated independently as a personal trainer in Needham and Newton, and now am a proud member of the Futureshapes team.

My passion for fitness began at 16 when weight training at the YMCA for a multitude of sports. I believe what sets me apart is my insistence on proper form and my ability to describe, demonstrate, and physically guide clients through instructions in order to achieve the desired form. I believe the key success of any fitness program, is whether or not the form and muscle groups being used, are being used correctly.

Over the years I have been schooled in the disciplines of bodybuilding, powerlifting, strength training, flexibility training, yoga, and nutrition. I have a focus on injury prevention and post orthopedic rehabilitation, and use a wide range of techniques in my programming.

I was born and raised in Newton and have a 15 year old son who allows me to relive my past by playing football and lacrosse. We enjoy training for those sports, playing paintball, and walking the dogs through the woods in our free time.
